       With the expanding scale of online shopping, Affiliate Programme provides a platform for online promotion/sale of products. The project aim

s at developing a web portal for marketing of digital products. The Affiliate Programme provides an efficient way for the customers to sell, buy or promote the Digital Products. Affiliate marketing also helps in earning money the easy way. The website has a list of all products categorized. The affiliates register themselves with 

web site and are given hop links for the products they want to promote. These affiliates are paid commission as per the number of sales made through their respective hop links. This is done by tracking the request made by a customer to buy the product. Finally, the customer gets the product download details, the affiliate gets commiss

ion and the seller/publisher the money for the product. The website also gets its share, as its hosting the products and taking care of transactions.

Introduction

 What is Affiliate Marketing Affiliate marketing is a revenue sharing  arrangement setup by the merchants to sell their products and as we are the website owners we will get rewarded for bringing customers to merchant’s website. In other words, Affiliate Marketing is the way for promoting web business in which every affiliate gets rewarded for every transaction made through the affiliate’s website. In some affiliate network sites, individuals also can sell products. Affiliate marketing, used to divert customers from one site to another, is a form of online marketing, which is frequently overlooked by advertisers. Affiliates have a significant role in e-marketing and eretailing by capturing the interest of individuals instead of firms or companies.

There are 3 basic users related to this program.

• Merchant site - A website where digital products are available for sale. In short a market place of digital products. Some other person can also sell their products through this site. They are the publishers. The products the publisher wishes to sell must be uploaded on the merchant’s website.

• Affiliate site - A Website of the affiliate where he promotes the products using Hop links.

• Customer - Person who does some transaction on the merchant’s site through affiliate’s site.

Hop Link:

To sell the digital product a link would be provided to the affiliate through which he can promote the products. This link is called Hop Link. It will redirect the visitor/customer to the merchant’s website. Every affiliate has a single hop link for a will be having two different hop links for respective products.

Digital Products:

Digital products are those products that can be transferred over any digital network.

 Problem Definition

The work is to provide an internet marketing place through online affiliate programme. This attempts to develop a marketplace which is a web based interface to promote the Digital Products. This web portal will allow customers to maintain their account, profile and their transactions. When

any customer buys a Digital Product from affiliates site, the affiliates will get the commission based on products sold.
